The computer control system of asphalt paver is the core part of modern paver, mainly used for precise control of paving thickness, smoothness, temperature and driving trajectory, ensuring that the construction quality meets the requirements of high-grade roads (such as highways and airport runways).
- System composition and functions
Key technologies for the main functions of the subsystem
The automatic leveling system detects the height of the roadbed in real time through sensors, automatically adjusts the elevation angle of the ironing board, and ensures consistent paving thickness. Ultrasonic/laser sensors and hydraulic servo control are used
The constant speed control system automatically adjusts the walking speed of the paver according to the feeding speed of the material truck, avoiding shutdown or material accumulation. The electric hydraulic transmission (HST) and PID algorithm are used for electrical control
The temperature monitoring system monitors the temperature of asphalt mixture in real time to prevent insufficient compaction caused by low-temperature paving or asphalt aging caused by high temperature. Infrared thermometer and thermocouple
Spiral fabric control adjusts the speed and direction of the spiral fabric dispenser to ensure uniform distribution of the mixture, reduce segregation, and control the variable frequency motor and torque feedback
Remote diagnosis and GPS support for device positioning, construction data recording, and remote fault diagnosis (such as the Wittgen ErgoPlus system) 4G/5G communication, Internet of Things (IoT) - Core control technology
(1) Automatic leveling technology
Ultrasonic sensor: detects the height deviation of the roadbed (accuracy ± 1mm), and adjusts the ironing plate through a hydraulic cylinder.
Multi probe redundant design: High end models (such as the Vogele SUPER 2100-3) are equipped with front and rear dual sensors to enhance stability.
Slope control: supports automatic adjustment of horizontal/vertical slope (such as 3%~5% drainage slope).
(2) Constant speed and feeding coordination
Level sensor: Real time monitoring of the height of the mixed material in the hopper, automatic adjustment of walking speed and spiral fabric speed.
Dynamic matching: Communicate with asphalt transport vehicles (such as Volvo pavers and Mercedes Benz material trucks) through CAN bus to achieve collaborative operations.
(3) Intelligent temperature management
Partition heating control: The ironing board is independently temperature controlled in multiple zones (such as left/center/right) to prevent local overheating or cooling.
Alarm function: Automatically alert the operator if the temperature exceeds the set range (such as<140 ℃ or>180 ℃).
